Public Hearing Announcement

The Illinois Department of Transportation held three public hearings on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Illinois Route 336 Four-Lane Highway Study, extending from I-474 in Peoria To Macomb, in portions of Peoria, Fulton and McDonough Counties.

Three identical hearings were held, one in Peoria, one in Canton and one in Macomb. The department has considered a Build Alternative, a No-Build Alternative and several other alignments. The maps that were presented in those hearings are now available on this web site under the Project Maps tab on the left.

IL 336 – Peoria to Macomb – ALIGNMENTS REVIEW

The Illinois Department of Transportation will hold three public meetings in the open house format on Proposed Illinois Route 336 Four-Lane Highway Alignments for the revised corridor, extending from I-474 in Peoria to Macomb, IL. The study area includes portions of Peoria, Fulton and McDonough Counties. Three identical public meetings will be held, one in Peoria, one in Canton and one in Macomb. The meetings will focus on reviewing possible alignments for use in developing a preferred alignment for the proposed four-lane highway from Peoria to Macomb. Maps and exhibits of the corridors as well as assessment data will be presented. IDOT staff and consultants will answer questions informally.
